In the field outside the Ahwahnee Lodge, I saw this stand of trees, their yellow leaves shimmering in the early fall sun. They were lit with the sun while the mountain behind them had fallen into shadow.

This blog is dedicated to my pursuit of photography. Hopefully it will chronicle my growth! I'm trying a 365 photo project. I love the idea that a good picture can capture more than a simple moment in time. A picture captures some of the mood and feeling, the experience of being there. And sometimes, a picture of who we were at the time. That's what I think pictures are, a timeless window into ourselves and the moments in our lives. Through them, we see through Dr. Manhattan's eyes.
